Three generations of family know-how in naturally scenting teas is blended into this offering. Our Four Seasons Jasmine Oolong is prepared by choosing the freshest flowers from the 1st and 2nd day of a new seasonal blooms that are brought to us in the middle of the night from the neighbouring County of Changhua, where the most fragrant and sweet Jasmin comes from. They’re the only ones we’ll consider to permeate our tea with a beautifully balanced and soothing floral aroma. Jasmine also renders a beautifully sensual sweetness to the cup. This, combined with the naturally vibrant floral character of the Four seasons (Si JI Chun) cultivar used to make this tea will render a balanced yet expressive cup. All in all; a beautiful expression of good body and lingering presence with soothing ethereal notes. Experience for yourself why pure Jasmine tea is the customary tea of choice to welcome guests in all good Chinese families. This Lot 1279 has been flower-scented in September 2023 from tea produced in early Spring 2023. Both fragrant teas and fresh flowers are considered of superior quality during the colder growing seasons.

Naturally scenting teas with fresh flowers is a very ancient tradition in China. In the same spirit, our family has been perpetuating this craft for over 3 generations now. As opposed to the more common green or white teas used for scenting, we choose to work with the already aromatic and expressive oolong and black teas that grow in our neighboring townships which are natural choices for scenting. Our flowers are also sourced locally and delivered to us just after morning picking for optimum freshness and fragrance. Then, we carefully blend in the flowers with the tea at the dawn of the day, when they are in full bloom and at the peak of their perfume. The tea and flowers are given a full night to consume their fragrant union. The morning after, flowers are then removed from the tea, one by one, before they turn sour and dull the taste. If required, the operation is repeated until the desired balance of scent and flavour is achieved. Timing and skill are of essence in obtaining the perfect blend.

This is good to have this delicated scented with jasmine tea at cold raiuny november’s day. It remains me spring and sun! And this tea turn me back to jasmine scented tea: I did stop to buy such tea few years ago because even in fancy tea american stores jasmine tea had so intence parfume smell and taste that I can not even smell it not to drink..This tea is really scented with real flowers! some time I can see single item in teapot ot gaiwan, and it bring smile to my face!!! Thank you for incredible product!
