After many requests we’ve commissioned the same bamboo workshop that locally produces all our tea trays and other bamboo items to produce some tea tools for us. Here is one of our tea rake designs. This one features a 195 mm straight bamboo section with a rounded rake tip at one end and a pin-like point at the other. The rake allows you to slide leaves into your tea making instrument from a presentation plate or scoop. The pointed section helps to remove leaves from spouts and pot filters and any other duty you deem worthy of this tool. The 2.5 mm section is stiff enough to keep its shape and memory and offer years of service. Each is coated with a mat finish to protect them. You can complete your set of tools with rakes, tongs and a handy bamboo case to house them. They are made by one of the woodworkers making our selection of bamboo tea trays, during his spare time.
