After many requests we’ve commissioned the same bamboo workshop that locally produces all our tea trays and other bamboo items to produce some tea tools for us. Here is one of our tea rake designs. This one features a 195 mm straight bamboo section with a 10 mm wide rounded rake tip at one end that tapers to a 7 mm straight section, also with a rounded tip. The rake allows you to slide leaves into your tea making instrument from a presentation plate or scoop and the other end allows you to be more selective for the last morsels you select, and any other duty you deem worthy of this tool. The 2.5 mm section is stiff enough to keep its shape and memory and offer years of service. Each is coated with a mat finish to protect them. You can complete your set of tools with rakes, tongs and a handy bamboo case to house them. They are made by one of the woodworkers making our selection of bamboo tea trays, during his spare time.
