We've been on the lookout for a slightly larger teapot with a good quick pour to prepare our morning Taiwanese Black teas or other larger twisted leaf teas until we've found this one. We particularly like the stylish Bao Zhun melon shape with a body that is as wide as high and a perfect 200 ml capacity for teas that require a bit more room to express themselves. The short spout proposes a good flow that empties the pot in about 10 seconds (at full capacity). The handle is not too big, shallow and set just at the right height for good precise handling. The nearly flat lid offer a good thickness with edges that are less prone to chipping. This pot design is a workhorse with style that will fare well as an everyday pot or a Sunday one. Like all the items that comprise our new series of Taiwanese made clay ware, they are impeccably made with very precise tolerances and great precision in the hand finishing. The walls are thin and even; the spout and handle are straight and perfectly aligned; finally, the clay used is tested to be free of heavy metals and contaminants. Not only is this a good introductory pot into the world of un-glazed clay ware but, first and foremost, it is a good quality teapot that will be sure to give years of good service at a fraction of the cost of similar quality authentic Yixing ware.
