We are pleased to introduce a new cup design by Master Zhuang. This stylish turret design is not only beautiful but also very pleasant to drink from and they are immediately recognizeable as one of his creations. Master Zhuang is a reputed award-winning potter from Sun Moon Lake, with whom we have developed a unique working relationship fueled by friendship. These unique turret cups are hand-turned one by one with a generous footing, gradually flaring to a cylindrical top that is further accentuated by washed blue stripe. Keeping with this theme, Master Zhuang glazes them with his trademark Indigo blue that adorns many of his ceramic works. Does master Zhuang's cups make your tea taste better? Yuwen, our tea maker, would certainly think so as she has adopted several of his cups since 2014, and many have become her favorite's. She particularly likes their thickness that insulates well and the organic shapes and textures that lets you appreciate the teas colour and viscosity before tasting it. Since these cups are made one, slight variations in shape, size and coloring must be expected. If you order more than one, we will match similar cups to make an homogenous set, as much as we possibly can.
