This Classic Tea Cup Presentation Board is meant to complement any of our Classic Tea Trays but can easily integrated to any tea equipage. Boards like this are one of the ceremonial elements that is integrated in a number of tea ceremony rituals taught here in Taiwan. It serves as a transition space where the cup is laid after the ceremonial service and from where the guest will receive his cup. The design of this board proposes a generous surface and is made from a 15 mm thick slab of laminated wood that has been carefully dried and shaped to which a quarter moon shaped footing is added at each end. There is something to be said about Taiwanese-made bamboo crafts. In a nut shell, they are simply better made without any compromises made in the materials and construction. Carefully dried precision laminates with thick sections are used and expertly finished with several coats of polyurethane will give many years of good service to its owner. Handcrafted in Taiwan, in our neighbouring County rightfully named Zhushan (Bamboo Mountain) from locally-sourced, responsibly-managed bamboo forests.
