Literally referred to as a two-eared pot in mandarin, this Elegant Easy Gaiwan offers a well-designed easy to use solution for everyday tea making in a practical compact format. Like all the new style gaiwans offered today, we think it truly combines the best attributes of a traditional gaiwan with those of a conventional teapot without many of their drawbacks. Okay, if you like to use traditional gaiwans, you’ll have to live without the saucer, but as you know, that’s one less thing to break, right? Obviously there is no handle or protruding spout (to break off, like on a conventional teapot!), and yet, this gaiwan is a cinch to handle without burning yourself with the two stylized protruding ears found on each side . We particularly like the extra large opening that makes the insertion and removal of leaves a breeze. This model offers a nice deep shape that will fare well with both rolled or twisted leaf teas. This item is not a styling experiment. This product works ergonomically and functionally very well… and looks great! We find it to be the perfect steeping vessel to bring to the office, or pack for your weekend outings.
