This smaller Aroma Cup is the sibling of the taller Elegant Aroma Cup. It pairs perfectly in volume and shape with both the Low and Taller Tea Tasting Cups. Aroma Cups are a vivid example of how the tea rituals have evolved independently and develop into a unique tea culture on this island. This cup style is not only made in Taiwan, it was designed and first used here back in the 1980’s. It is used alongside a second cup that will be used for drinking the liqueur. This one, as it name implies, has a specific function. It first receives the liqueur from the tea maker which will afterwards be poured by the participant in the drinking cup. The residual liqueur that coats the interior is enough to reveal the aroma of the tea which is further concentrated by the tall shape that funnels the scents when one brings the cup to its nose for a heightened tee introspections.
