These padded pouches are used extensively here in Taiwan, and not just in tea circles. When related to tea, they often serve to protect some treasured tea ware item like a teapot or a tea cup. Precious tea objects are like good friends, they go out together. It is not uncommon to see tea amateurs at fairs or tea gatherings take out the cup they've brought from home in one of those pouches to be served tea in it. Finding a use for these pouches is never a problem. We find them quite practical to carry a bunch of tea samples pouches with us! When considering our tea ware offerings, they will house any teapot, easy gaiwan and classic gaiwans of less than 200 ml and many 200 ml models (lower teapots like our Larger Everyday, Larger Shui Ping and Turret Pots will not fit). We've also found a great use for them to carry around a selection of tea sample bags like the 25 formats we propose.
