We are very excited to introduce the slip-cast clay version of our New Elegant Teapot which builds on the original design that was the focal point of its namesake's porcelain tea ware series. This remains our most popular pot since its introduction at the very beginning of Taiwan Tea Crafts. Simple flowing lines and well-proportioned volumes have made this series a joy to use as well as a joy to look at for the hundreds who adopted them. With the feedback received from all the users of the previous model, we were able to develop and propose this improved design in form, function and build which does even better at highlighting the distinctive character of all Taiwanese teas, without exception. Building on the original design's popular lower profile, we've increased the lid opening from a 40 mm circumference to 55 mm to allow twisted-leaf teas like Bao Zhong and Taiwanese Blacks to be inserted in without breaking them. It also makes discarding them a breeze. The dome lid sits very precisely with a perfect seal. Don't let the low number of filter holes fool you, this pot pours quicker than its predecessors, thanks to a larger diameter short and straight spout. Finally, the shallow handle offers precise handling. All this in a 125 ml size that is perfect for gongfu-style shared introspections or solo sessions. This teapot is also available in Purple Clay or Ivory Porcelain. These clay versions pair perfectly with our low-profile pitcher in size and profile.
