Organic Qing Xin Gan Zhi Green Tea
Thanks to many supporters who have adopted this tea through the tumultuous 5 years since its inception, and despite the death to drought of our new biodynamic tea garden dedicated to it, our Fragrant Jade Green Tea is back in 2022. Just like last year's Lot 1029, a good friend of ours who also grows organic Qing Xin Gan Zhi tea bushes, surprised us by offering his late spring picking to make what has now become this Lot 1120. So, we are happy to confirm that the spirit of Yuwen's father lives-on uninterrupted for a fifth consecutive year. If you liked last spring's iteration, you will be in familiar territory with its light almond-like sweet roasted accents, a good vegetal body with hints of creamy artichoke, and the flowery and balsam freshness of High Mountain Oolongs. Thanks to much more clement weather and good cold spells and rain through last winter, Lot 1120 has a bit thicker mouthfeel with a good presence that makes it a perfect post-confinement tonic! Every year we produce this tea it garners the same reaction from Yuwen, our Tea Maker: ”I can taste my father's tea in this cup!” she says. In homage to her late father, a true pioneer in organic tea making, we have named this tea series ”Fragrant Jade” similarly to his line of teas we promoted several years ago. This tea is produced exclusively for us under our supervision by one of our long time collaborators and available only on Taiwan Tea Crafts in very low quantities!
