One of our most popular porcelain pot shape is now available in both red and purple clay renditions and proposed with a capacity of 125 ml for more focused tea introspections. This stylish, more angular design offers precise tolerances and great precision in the craftsmanship. It is well balanced, easy to handle and offers a fine precise stream when pouring. The pout out time of a full pot of water (without any leaves) takes about 12 seconds and is more in line with the Chinese tradition of pouring directly from the pot into cups. The clay material used is blended with some kaolin to offer better stability during the casting process and more durability for the finished product. This also makes this bare clay material less porous and more neutral when considering how it might colour the type of tea to make in it. We've used our pots for high mountain fragrant oolong teas and darker baked teas alike, with great success. Furthermore, the quality of the clay used has passed JIS standards for safety and is confirmed to be free of heavy metals and contaminants. Finally, like all our cast clay pots, they are proudly handcrafted in Taiwan.
