We really like stackable out-of-the-house tea making solutions because they are so compact and can be easily stashed in a small backpack or weekend travel bag. We also really like supporting new Taiwanese brands that excel for their quality designs and craftsmanship. So, we have no hesitation to introduce this practical yet very attractive travel set for 2. The set includes a 150 ml easy gaiwan, 2 60 ml cups, a nifty fabric coaster that also serves as a protective liner when stacking the set into the molded case which does a good job at protecting the set when packed. The packed set is extremely lightweight at 275 g. The elegant scalloped pattern present on both gaiwan and cup bodies is not only attractive but serves the purpose of helping grip the items and offering less surface to the fingers to avoid burning them. We also like the patterned stainless steel lid with wood knob which is perforated along its perimeter to help for fast pour outs. The stainless steel gives the set a distinctive and sophisticated look but, let's face it, this is a smart feature for practical reasons as well as it does away with the fear of breaking the lid... Every experienced tea enthusiast knows that lids are the first thing that breaks on any tea making vessel. We've been testing a set all throughout the summer during weekend outings and can attest that we would've ended with a broken lid if not out of stainless steel as it landed on the floor more than once. All items are made in China with Taiwanese quality control and packed in Taiwan.
