Small Stubby Xi Shi Red Clay Teapot, 100 ml

We too have fallen for the alluring beauty of Xi Shi shaped pots. Named after the renowned beauty of ancient China, these pots are not only beautiful to look as but a joy to handle. Their roundness and compact design with a stubby spout and shallow handle that are less prone to breakage make them perfect companions as travel pots; furthermore, they mate perfectly with pitchers. This flatter “stubby” 100 ml rendition features a reverse handle which is very comfortable to handle with great precision for solo pouring or gongfu sessions. A larger 160 ml Xi Shi pot in red clay is also on offer. Like all the items that comprise our new series of Taiwanese made clay ware, they are impeccably made with very precise tolerances and great precision in the hand finishing. The walls are thin and even; the spout and handle are straight and perfectly aligned; finally, the clay used is tested to be free of heavy metals and contaminants. Not only is this a good introductory pot into the world of un-glazed clay ware but, first and foremost, it is a good quality teapot that will be sure to render years of good service at a fraction of the cost of similar quality authentic Yixing ware.
