This beautiful little pitcher is the work of another craftsman from the greater Taichung area. His name is Zhi Long. His work is a little more ornate in the detailing of his pieces and in the shapes he proposes. Everything is superbly hand made item by item. The finishing is certainly one of its main attractive features. The two-tone tea dust glaze, or Chayemo Glaze, of mustard yellow speckle over dominant black surfaces has been selectively brushed off in some areas giving the pitcher an attractive weathered look and even reveals a nice frise on the crown of its main body. The pitcher is hand turned with great precision and features a vitreous glazing inside. Its 250 ml capacity will fare very well with nearly all the teapots in our catalogue but you might be tempted to match it with any of the Weathered Tea Dust Glazed pots made by the same artist.
