These stunning hand-made porcelain tea tasting cups were made and glazed alongside the satin White Glazed items we feature and perfectly matches them all. They are the work of Xiao Bai, the youngest sibling of the Bai Mu Quan family. This young potter, despite his relatively short tenure behind a potter's wheel, has quickly mastered his craft with works of great sensibility in style and form whilst never compromising on function. The precision in his craftsmanship is simply stunning considering the challenges of working with porcelain as his material of choice. His use of different textures, like the very fine horizontal lines that adorns the outer-surface of the cup is always done in a subtle way that is both appropriate to the shape of the piece and balanced with the tone of the finish. The wall thickness is thin and even all throughout the body. Finally, a glossy white glaze seals the inside of the cup giving this contemporary looking cup a timeless elegance. Please note that fine craquelure lines will form on the inside of the cup as tea will stain these with time. These unique cups are sold individually and are signed by the artist.
