A blanket of snow over dormant tea bushes

,

An unusual surprise awaited the father-in-law when he woke up and drew open the curtains of his tea garden bungalow on this morning of January 4, 2013. A thick coat of snow brought a different light to the usual duller green scenery of dormant tea bushes in his organic tea garden in the mythical tea terroir of the Huang Shan mountains of Anhui in China. Why should we show this on a website dedicated to Taiwan Tea you will ask? Simply because winter scenes are always beautiful to look at and likewise for tea garden vistas. Today we have the rare bonus of witnessing both at the same time (oh, and the father-in-law is also Taiwanese)! You can enjoy a slideshow of the below pictures by clicking on any of them. Makes you want to enjoy a warm cup of tea after seeing this!…
