Glass is undoubtedly the most neutral of materials when making tea. It will not “colour” the taste or reflect the true colour of the liqueur. It certainly makes sense when considering a pitcher. In fact, a lot of Taiwanese tea masters will make it their material of choice when it comes to this instrument as it allows a visual appreciation of the liqueur before it is poured into a fine porcelain or earthware cup. Whether you wish to abide with this guideline or not is your choice, we simply provide the options with the best products possible. This dual-wall design meets all our aesthetic and functional criteria and will make a perfect addition to any steeping vessel you use, but! we will nonetheless add that it matches perfectly with any item in our Glass Collection or any other material you fancy. At $8.50 down from $12.00, it has now become a must!

Brilliant combination of practical use and beauty:
– You will always see the color of your tea
– Its volume (180ml) is not too big for one tea drinker but enough serve 2 guests
– Pitcher has beautiful graceful curves
Pouring tea from this instrument is a joy. And if your hands are sensitive to high temperature from hot water this pitcher is what you want. Because of dual wall glass on the outer side it will never be uncomfortably hot.

In reality it is bigger than it looks on the picture. Very well curved. Comphy in a hand. If there were an option to add a picture of it with me-made tea, that would have shown how trully nice it is.

Where is this pitcher made?
Taiwan Tea Crafts –
Hello Sophie,
Thank you for your inquiry. I did answer your question when you sent us a message through our contact form yesterday. Essentially, here is my reply:
I am afraid we don’t have definitive answer for you. There are no indications on the product’s origin on the product or packaging. This dual-wall pitcher is made by a Taiwanese company that also owns factories in China so it could be made there even though we purchase it from the Taiwan Head Office. When asked, they always emphasize that they do a complete quality control check in Taiwan without answering the question directly.
This being said, it is our policy to exclusively promote Taiwanese made teas and wares. You possibly found one of the very few items in our catalogue that falls in a grey zone. Recently, we replaced 2 classic glass pitchers we were selling that were Chinese made by Taiwanese made ones. The difference is remarkable in terms of quality. If you prefer to consider these, you can find them here: https://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product/classic-glass-tea-pitchers-320-and-380-ml/
I hope this helps.
All the best from Taiwan,
Philip Brook
